Bitcoin mining is now a highly lucrative business due to the continued rise in the price of the cryptocurrency and one of the companies that could be watched closely in that regard is HIV Blockchain Technologies Ltd (OTCMKTS:HVBTF).

The stock has performed impressively this year so far, having gained as much as 100% and this morning the company made another key announcement with regards to its operations.

HIVE announced that in a key milestone for the company it managed to rocket past the updated ASIC capacity goal for 2021 of 2000 Petahash per second. The company was able to accomplish this by buying as many as 10500 advanced miners.

The new miners in question added as much as 766 Petahash per second worth of hash power to the company’s operations. The total future capacity of HIVE’s mining operations now stands at 2474 Petahash per second. Following this announcement, the HIVE stock could come into focus among investors this morning.
